The brutal Summer daytime heat and humidity has usually passed and highs in the mid 70's-low 80's are typical with night time temps in the 50's-60's.

I from florida, that last answer sounds like paradise. Low 80s by day, 60s by night. And less humidity. Party weather!

It's usually hot as hell for a couple of days, (high 80s) and then cools down about 3 degrees. Don't know what Memphis Uptight White is living in. :) The good news is, (I think) the HiTone actually has an A/C now.
Bruce, last year is the very first year I EVER remember it raining. But, remembering GF is not my strong suit.

I spend just over half the year in Memphis, but my recollections (aside from the lower humidity) match up with the weather data:

Date of 9/26: Avg High - 81
Avg Low - 61

2 years ago weather was perfect for the Saturday noon outside show. I thought I'd died and gone to San Francisco.

Yeah, for some reason it's always perfect for the Murphy's show. Plan on hot and sweaty... anything else will be a great surprise.

Average temperature doesnt really mean shit without humdity. It can be 83 with say 65-70% humidity...cram a few hundred people into a room...hot as two rats fucking in a wool sock.

As a kid growing up in Memphis, it always seemed that the season's first cool front would come through sometime during the MidSouth Fair--late September.

Never made things chilly, just broke the really humid steamy heat that had been around for months--made things pleasantly warm instead.

Spent most of my life in New Orleans--and it was exactly the same, like clockwork around the first day or so of Autumn, bingo, the cool front would arrive.

It felt like you'd finally gotten off some terrible, dirty, sweaty 6 month shft at work and could go home.

I noticed that the next morning, the dogs and cats would awake from their torpor and gallop through the house, energized.

Jorts and wife beater weather. Think Orlando with a smidge less heat.
