No lack of love for Wes here! He was a class act and a sure thing on a losing team last year. Too bad he couldn't find his shot & hang out for the Grizz' playoff run this year. He deserves better than Portland!

Checkout yesterdays Hoopshype.com for all the skinny on why the Blazers are getting peeps like Mr. Person (not a surprise). It is, natch, a huge controversy (nice vs. talented at any cost). I know what you are saying, Sherman, but I am glad he is reppin' for us now cos I have been heartbroken over how embarrassing we have been...the word now is they wanna ship off Qyntel now. Bad idea--he is Zach Randolph's best friend.

If they ship qyntel, who's gonna hold Randolph's dope & license?

Glad Wes got shipped to a team that can at least sniff the playoffs. Too many years in NBA backwaters (Cleveland, and ahem, Memphis) for one of the good guys.

Wes could go down as the two best trades Jerry ever made (coming and going)...

Sherman--Randolph is holding his own dope and Fleer card these days...not to mention his new GEICO insurance card he got while being processed Downtown (why do none of these guys have insurance????).

Jughead--Person came in with finesse off the bench and swished two three's back to back right in the face of Malone and Kobe. It was awesome to see that sort of grace under pressure on our team. Sure, Stoudamire does it but that shrimp always looks like he is struggling when he shoots. Wes was GRACE.

Oh yeah, Wes has got the stroke. He's too good to suck as much as he did in November. Last year, they ran this curl play for him where he would start under the basket, run around 2 picks and get a little bunny jumper from around the foul-line. That was pretty much a bread-and-butter play for the Grizz last year- one play where we ALWAYS got a good shot, and he made most of 'em. This year, he missed most of 'em, so...hello Bonzi.

I think he's just finding his place with the crazy blazers but he is definitely a chill, moderating presence...the kind that Zach Randolph really thrives around (Sabonis and Pippen really worked well with him last year). I am really psyched to see him, only if he is just filling in holes and coming in for some fast points. He's a cool dude!
