YAD isn't on a busy avenue.
Does Nocturnal have a kitchen / restaurant?
HiTone is on a busy avenue, has a kitchen and gear worth mentioning.

4 employees? No real estate included, btw - just the equipment and the lease.

It is indeed true. For the small sum of $26 million dollars you can own one of midtown's premiere music venues. They didn't bring music back to midtown but infrequently they bring a kick ass rock band to the city when they're not too busy preening in the mirrors and booking crappy art rock bands from Brooklyn. Besides the douchey bartenders, the smoke filled room and the crappy pizza, the place is a goddamned dream house/ fun factory. The sound guy might even regale you with stories from "home" (it's a planet, not a state) as well as drink you out of heinekens. Oh, and the shows don't start too early so you might want to change your living habits to dark. And the kitchen guy doesn't occasionally bathe. They also have a CD player.

You forgot that the bartenders are also pretentious.

calm down, Alisa, it's a joke. Well, it wasn't 4+ years ago. That was the ad that the business broker ran all over town when Brian was selling. The rest, of course, is not a joke. We do indeed own a cd player.

This is very true. On a related note, Joel, while in "waiting on a cab" level sauced, declared that he was switching beer allegiances at a very late hour of the morning/ evening. Word got out. As of lunch time the very next day, Heineken's parent companies stock had plummeted 18%. When we asked Joel around 2pm CST the next day if his switch was indeed true, he replied that it wasn't but he was still open for consideration. At that precise moment the parent companies stock rose throughout late trading and was back at normal levels the very next morning. This was not a coincidence.

(Totally know the Joel, Heineken, and stock market story is TOTALLY true though!)
