6AM, up to feed the pets and didn't even see this madness until I opened the backdoor to let Roux out--WTF is right? Whoohoo!

Totally unexpected for me. Hadn't even paid attention to the wether. Went to bed early so I could get to work early this morning. Mother in law called at 6:00, my wife started screaming "Oh my god!"
I thought somebody died, or something.
"Shitload of snow!", peering out the blinds.
I said "What?"
Sure enough, it was coming down hard.

Working from home (the office closed).
I'm going to roast some coffee today.
If anyone wants any, holler.

Since 6:00 am this morning, by the way, NOAA upped it by 2 inches.
Forecast is now 6"-10" from 4"-8".

totally unexpected, made it in to work and there is only one other car in the parking lot

Temperature will have to hold, but there's another big ol' mess coming in the next few hours.

Problem is going to be if it gets above 36-37 degrees today. Sun won't shine on all the concrete and asphalt, holding the heat through the night, but the blanket of clouds will still hold most of the warmth of the day. It'll need to stay around or below 35; if it hits 36 or above, it can only be so for about an hour max.
I'm going to make some snow creme now.

Is it too late to rush out for milk & bread?
Posted: Feb 8, 2010 1:03 pm
No! I just did. But, I hit a snowman in the parking lot of Kimbrough liquor store. Be careful!

I wish the Thundersnow Dragon had a Facebook fan page.

5 o'clock rush hour today ain't going to be no picnic either. I was just out and ice was coming down at an alarming rate.

I wish the Thundersnow Dragon had a Facebook fan page.

So, what's the haps for tomorrow, Jack Stands, Goner Weatherman?
