Wow. A shame this competes with the Heritage Fest.

is there a demolition derby?

i mean, the city is great for the heritage fest and citified stuff.

the county is good for demolition derbies, moonshine, and county-style cookin.

Yep...demo derby tomorrow afternoon and pig races too. Can someone explain to me why they have the Heritage Fest basically on the trolley line?? Two of the stages are so close to the actual track that everytime one rolls by there are folks nearly gettin run over. Its super dangerous for kids and logistically it really sucks in my opinion. Cool music(for the most part), but absolutley terrible place to have it. We went out to the Delta Fair this afternoon for a while and had a damn good time. Lots of room out there.

Saw the Jeff & Jack show. The sounded aaaright under them pretty lights. Dancing kids who wanted to bang on the drums and old ladies keeping the beats on both knees. Didn't see no Lawler, but got stuck in his crowd tryin to catch back up with the wife and kid and grans.

I assure you, Lawler was there. . .. I could see him pull down the unitard strap and become invincible pretty clearly from the stage.

We went last night and had a great time. It blew my mind how much room was out there to move around. It was pretty crowded, but you were not shoulder to shoulder in the midway like at the mid-south fair. Definitely more enjoyable.

pig races = excellent.

demolition derby (main event) - called off due to no more runnung cars.

guy clark = great. Played a much longer set than i expected, and all of it was amazing.
