Goner Message Board / Memphis / Wackadoodle MCS educators

All teachers and educators are nuts.
Except, of course you, Miss Faye.

The ALCU has filed a complaint against Memphis City schools demanding new school policies, a reprimand of a school principal, and money for the two male students who said they were put on a gay list by the school's principal.

All of this took place at Hollis F. Price Middle College High School on the campus of Lemoyne Owen College. The charges are of discrimination, accusing principal Daphne Beasley of creating a "list of couples including homo couples."

According to the complaint, back in September, principal Beasley demanded over the school intercom that she get "names of all students who were couples...hetero or homo."

"It was like very terrifying for one. I am still private or in the closet," outed student Nicholas said.

Nicholas was one of the students outed on the list. Another was his partner Andrew, who is also a student.

The complaint goes on. The principal then called the parents and told them about the gay list and informed them "that homosexuality would not be tolerated at Hollis F Price." After that, Nicholas said students and teachers made fun of him.

"I actually had one of my friends say I was trying to steal her boyfriend," Nicholas said.

The complaint makes a list of demands to the city school board in order for the district to avoid legal action:

* an apology to Andrew and Nicholas
* reprimand the principal
* put new policies in place to prevent it from happening again
* and give money to the two students for their suffering.

In a statement from the Memphis City Schools attorney he said, "We take all allegations of invasion of privacy and discrimination seriously. At this time, we have not completed our internal investigation of this matter. Once we have completed our investigation, we will submit a formal response to the ACLU."

The ACLU wants a reply to the complaint by Friday, May 9th.

This news report is pretty wackadoodle too. Since when do high school kids have "partners"? Just cos they're gay?

In all seriousness though, this is a big deal. That school is the one on the LeMoyne-Owen campus that's a prep school and helps inner city kids who might not otherwise have an opportunity get into college. It's not like they can just transfer out and have the same chances elsewhere. This could really keep them from getting into a good school.

That report neglects to mention that the teacher allegedly told one of the kids' mothers that she wouldn't tolerate homosexuality at her school, and didn't like it. And one of the kids was suspiciously removed from a school service trip to New Orleans, after a teacher told him that some faculty members basically thought he was gonna go down there and bone every piece of tail he could.

I'm still reeling over the fact that my second-grader is learning fractions.

He digs fractions and physics and all sorts of really weird questions. I remember don't memorizing "times tables" until third grade in county schools.

As for the above case, see any of Luke Warm's Gospel Recording Session footnotes where they all take time to pray out the "gay demon".

"names of all students who were couples...hetero or homo."

I remember alot of reminding the female instructors that my personal life had nothing to do with the subject matter back in 2003-2006.

I told one teacher that I'm married to SATAN!

NONE of the male teachers gave a DAMN about people's personal shit.

Does MCS teach Evolution/ Darwinism? I heard that they (MCS) lean more toward supporting/ teaching the Creationist theory. When I was at Rhodes there were a number of kids from the MCS system in my anthropology classes that couldn't swallow the concept that Adam and Eve had NOTHING to do with how human life came into existence. Creationism is such an absurd theory that I can't believe any educator could explain it with a straight face- especially today.

P.S. Sorry to change the subject.
