Electric Organ Orchestra...Lots of Tones

Will your organ rig be anything like Leon's?

organ rig

Yes, of course and okay, why not.

That rig weighs 700 pounds and Leon's rider requires 5 loaders provided by the venue to load it off his tour bus which must be able to pick up cable television from where it's parked.

Wait, which one has to be able to pick up cable - the bus or the keyboard rig? Cuz I would think that keyboard rig would be Tivo-ready and Hi-Def, from the looks of it.

Incidentally, when we saw him at Gibson last week, he only used one piano sound all night. The REAL piano in the Gibson lounge went unused and was nowhere to be seen.

I read that the new Hi-tone owner plays cello with Harlan and Mouserocket! Where does he find the time? I'm not wrong about this am I? I heard it from Memphis' most reliable source. I guess if I really want to know I could DO SOME RESEARCH OR TALK TO SOMEBODY.

Memphis' most reliable source.

Michael Donahue?

It's not the same JKirk as is in Mouserocket. They spell their last name differently.

Will this show be a "balls to the walls" and virtually impossible to move around once you get in there kind of thing?
Posted: Jan 3, 2008 3:34 am
You saw his last show at the Hi-Tone, right? Luckily there was the show a few days after at the Buc. I'm thinkin' "yeah". Still gonna try to make it out, though.

any call on the crowd situation tonight? realistically from the hi tone not from jacks "bat phone?"
Posted: Jan 5, 2008 4:30 am
not too crowded. come on out.

Will Mouserocket play for free now that the cellist owns the place? Man think of the open all night jam sessions now that a seasoned Memphis musician owns the club! Wow, what a break for Memphis...also, his acoustic mastery means the Hi Tone will be concentrating more on alt-country and Americana sounds...wow....

I think the real owner is owed an apology in writing, and published for the whole city to see....
