Was Nielsen's kid playing drums?
Posted: Nov 12, 2007 9:07 pm

nope. it was some guy tom peterson knew from nashville. he looked awfully familiar. i think he might of been bobby bare jr.'s drummer.

I enjoyed it. really amazed that rick actually plays with a couple of guitars that could be in the 100K or more club.

no bun e. = bummer.

I got hit in the eye with a guitar pick. Still recovering...

I caught no less than five picks, gave a few of em away...
loved the five-necked guitar.
and still haven't seen Zander without a hat on.
not since the early '80s, at least!

Some guy has 9 of em on craigslist for 50 bucks.
They must be worth about 25 cents apiece.

Jesus...i gotta stop posting wine drunk...apologies to John Prine for the above.

They only played an hour, but it was an hour FULL of hits. And I was right up next to the stage!

My theory is Zander is el baldo, with only the long Riff-Raff-style fringe left. Therefore, he rocks the hat 24/7.

i could've done without "the flame", but it did provide a bathroom/beer break.

short but sweet set.......bun e is in the hospital.

bro-hal, were you one of the guys killing each other for the album rick tossed? really thought the one guy was crushing his skull against the barrier.

40 bucks for a hour?
Posted: Nov 13, 2007 3:50 pm

They played less than an hour when I seen em years ago. 10 songs exactly and then as Rick said as they left the stage-party time. Fuck em. Heaven Tonights still a great album though. I can live without the rest.

I enjoyed them at the casino, and then later at the Mid-South Fair, but those dates were at least 7 - 8 years back. Those recent (past 10 years) studio albums are TERRIBLE.

their last 3 albums are great! not sure what you guys were listening to.much better than their late 80s crap.

Timmyjinx, I was not one of the guys scrabbling aboout on the beer-slick floor for guitar picks. Rick threw a few early and one landed on my shoulder. I took it and put it in my pocket, happy.

What are those guys going to do with those picks, anyway? Sell 'em on eBay? The only people who would want them are Cheap Trick fans, and if you've been to one of their concerts and gotten anywhere remotely close to the stage you should already have a handful.
