This sounds like the 4-track recordings his sister and I used to make in Tee's room circa 1982 (I basically lived with that family from 1974-1986).

Man, I had no idea we were recording onto a 4-track all these weeks. The computer monitor and monster Soundcraft board sure fooled me. Kyle's even more brilliant than I thought he was.

If by monitor, you mean milk crates, and Soundcraft, you mean refrigerator box that we also use to "surf" down the stairs, that's us!

Yep. A tascam (I think) 4 track on the floor in front of his bed. Elisabeth (his sister) and I would mix down vocals on 45 records and replace them with our own...Tee ruled.

It works in Memphis. Maybe your Chicago computer doesn't have media player or realtime. I don't know. I suck at the internets.

According to 98.1, it's getting great reception and they need a cd.
Also, someone at channel 5 wants to do an interview with AWO.

You'd have to talk to the band; I just produced it, and that's the only song they recorded. I'll check and see if I can nab you a copy.

We're playing tomorrow night (Saturday the 22nd) at Murphy's with Double Shovel. We'll probably go on around 12:00 or 12:30.

Right now, we just have a small handful of home-made CD's that we're giving to radio people, but we certainly do plan on having more made after we get this show behind us.

Also, as Herr Stands mentioned, "Ophelia" is the only song that we've recorded so far. After Goner Fest, we hope to get back into the Rocket Science Studio of Genius and do some more. We're doing our best to make "Ophelia" available to all, but it's taking time.
