sandwiches can be hit during the week, no problem. fried chicken and ribs are more a special occasion, at least for me... so it's usually a friday or saturday thing. cozy corner closes early so friday lunch is a prime opportunity to hit it.
the trek out to gus' fried chicken is an awesome way to spend a weekend afternoon- if you get there before they run out of chicken! and i've only been to stein's once, but they could be surpassing Ellen's as my in-town chicken of choice.
of course, the BIG S is a great way to start your weekend day, too... barbecue and cheeseburger (to kill the bbq burn) and a quart... they don't have ribs that often, but they're worth trying if they do, too.
and yes, these are important things!
