Well Joe Pesticide and myself started the Exploding Hairs when we were in High School, and dont let Joe fool ya, he loves Football and played Defensive lineman himself. Anyway, Darron Burke joined the band and then Jeff Miller forced is way into the group as well. Drums, distortion bass, and two vocalist. As joe said, for us, we were really the only kids into "punk" music at that time, or should I say kids that started to play music. Early Police, Sex pistols, the Damned, uk subs, dks, circle jerks, etc... Actually when LOD was at its height, we opened up for alot of the "big Punk bands"
jesus fucking hates me

Man. I cant believe people still know this stuff!!!!! Yea the beggining is pure Joe, and his crazy ass self, he was talking about all the band members being "enemies of the state" and how we were on the run and stuff.
These recordings are still circulating?
Man I did all the recording in those days and I still have all the masters. I just burned a new CD of that session. I called it Exploding Garage cuz we did it in Darron Burke's ( Dem Thrash )garage. I was Nick Furry during EHair days and then I changed over to Dark Meto, My sister use to call me Dark because all by brothers and sisters have names that start with "D". I think Mike Wells started the Dark Meto stuff. Man, Mike and Jay, and Robbie would take LOD to Florida to play show, those were the days man, camping at peoples house, the stories I have are endless and unreal. Joe can back all of them up. Maybe I will copy Steve from "NO Rules" and wright a book. Anyway who are you guys that Im spilling the guts to? Ask me more shit, and it will all come back to me.

The studio is cool. Not big, in fact it's tiny, but it has a good warm 'natural' sound. Moz has good mics and 'interesting' mics, both of which I like. Plus you get to walk around in the pasture/woods and play with the dogs and such.

I think that might be the farmhouse where the 4-Track EHairs stuff might've been recorded,if i'm not mistaken. It's a cool place, and you should record stuff there!

Mark,i wasn't trying to diss you either... i'll explain when i email ya.

thanks for the props, and the correction on the lyrics. Yes, the house I now live in is the same farm house. I converted the upstairs into the studio, and yes the live room is a bit small, but im about to do some "tuning" to make it sound bigger than it is, It posseses alot of upper mids but the shape is kick ass, Im gonna make the tounge and groove ceiling a huge resonator, where I ripped the dormers out,( where your amp was Dave) Im gonna create better base traping, and on the intire east side im gonna build absorbors into the wall using 700 series glass ( geeky recording termo ) and on the west side im gonna fill the intire walls with diffusors and reflection panels, alot of the same type stuff will be going on in the control room as well,

getting ready to move over to full computer as per tracking but still implementing kick ass vintage mic pres and compressors. Still got to fix my 15 year old 4 track that all the magic was recorded onto. It broke in its 13th year!!! e-hairs master on four track could be cleaned up alot with the computer and some mastering programs, i have alot of LOD live show tapes and practises, with varoius members, hey joe remember the metal drummer we had for a week with the double kick and shit, I think he was gonna break out the lights and fog machine for our show, I dont remember if it happened. Where the fuck is Chip L.

Holy shit somebody knows about Joe Zone as well, I think i still have the only cassette we ever made. The Joezone stuff was Joe and I in the very early stages, most of those songs ( all three of them) went on to become Exploding Hairs songs. Yes i will get it together and get all this stuff on CD, Im still waiting for Joe to contact me via email.

Hey Moz, I found a couple or three of the songs we recorded at your studio. Great stuff (the recording anyway).

Here's a mp3 link to one of them:

(You Got My Mind Going In The) Wrong Direction

I know this is from your studio b/c I wrote these particular lyrics to the break while the drummer and others present were sparkin' up.
