Hey Eric. Dunno if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I know a couple people who use an outfit called CCNow for their online credit card orders and they speak highly of them. If you're going that route, they might be worth looking into.

At Sun we have two different systems for processing orders---one system for online sales, and then the oversized calculator for in-house sales. I'm off work today, so I don't have the bossman around for the specs....so WTF am I responding to this for?.....bluh.

At Hot Dog in Oxford, Zack won't take AmEx or Discover because the processing fees make it cost prohibitive.

My experience with this is that you can negotiate with banks or other service providers to do this, but your position is tough if a) you don't do much volume b) you have signed up for a 'bundled' service package (like, hosting, shopping cart, etc.). If you expect alot of volume, then you are in a better position to negotiate. Be SURE to get a Service Level Agreement and watch how they handle chargebacks & stuff.

Hey Eric- Stephanie here from the Scripts- NoLA and Rocks Off RPM Records etc. thanks for letting us stay at yer house n takin us to lunch when we came thru last summer-
I will check on our % charges but one thing I can tell you is that you can use your cc machine for phone orders or web orders and not tell them. They will charge you more if they know you are using them for web or phone orders so keep that on the D.L.
