Why indeed? I think it came about when I collared Karen C. after a particularly blurry Marcella gig there (well, blurry for me, that's certain) and pitched the idea of me playing every week (in this case Wednesday evenings in November to be precise) after the last of the dinner crowd leaves around 10 pm. She unexpectedly said yes so I scrambled to find a guitar player to accompany and indulge me, and the ever agreeable and able Richard James consented to play Wednesday nights with me for a while till Karen pulls the plug on this thing, probably even before the end of November. Kind and indulgent Josh will be serving your favorite refreshments and you can always go next door to the Beauty Shop to get away from me. And, as always, when I play there is never a cover charge.
You been warned again.
I was there. Still boss!
Kind words, Eric, but "Ross is boss" sounds more like a palindrome than a fact. However, Richard James, Anne Schorr, Jake Vest, Joe T, and several other people who can actually play have been showing up lately on Wednesday nights at DKDC. I barely "sing" or talk at all, I swear. So come catch RJ and the Shabbos Goys (Presley was one) some desolate, bored Wednesday evening.
