Tommy Trouble:

I ordered an lp of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" (I have copies on cd and DVD-Audio) on eBay .

The E-store (SoundCityBeaches in Canada or BeachesEntertainment in NY) sent two copies of the wrong record: Death From Above 79, "you're a woman, I'm a machine".

Death from Above is worth considerably more than the record I ordered. Pink cover:

I told them when they sent the album I paid for, I'd send the other ones back. After all, they already had my money and my record.

They said they don't do replacements, only reimbursements (although their site says they still have a copy in stock). They also said they'd be happy to reimburse the cost of Motorhead + the extra shipping when I sent the records back.

But why should I risk more money for them to fuck up again?? It took two emails to get an American return address.

I asked that they'd forward shipping to send the records back (they already fucked up my order and I have no guarantee that they'll get my order right or refund my extra shipping). This way I'd at least not be out any more money than I am now.
They said no.

I pointed out the difference in price between records in my first email. They don't seem to mind.

Can we call it square? I think I can resell their records and buy a copy of Ace of Spades and at least come out even.

What says the Goner jury?
dtrain:

eBay em!
Mark Beef:

yes I think you can resell them with a clear conscience. Make it quick though before somebody calls you a square for having that record in your house. Two copies even
bruce:

Im pretty sure we all knew tommy was square all ready
Tommy Trouble:

I'll shove a square peg up your round asshole, DF.

Have you ever sent anyone the wrong records? If so, what did you do.

Floss your cock. JD's breath stinks.
bruce:

Don't think I have, but I only do wholesale, occasionally I've shorted an order, which gets thrown in with next order.

I would definitely sell or keep or whatever you wanted to do with the other records and look elsewhere for ace of spade, how hard to find could it be? Pretty sure I have 2, maybe 3 copies at my house right now
joseph t:

Sell that shit! Goner has Ace of Spades reissues sometimes

the records are yours.

ethically, i would say, they sent you the wrong records. you did the honest thing and made them aware of their mistake. you have zero obligation to pay out of pocket to return the records for a mistake they made, even if they are offering to reimburse. you did nothing wrong, if the records were important to them, they would offer to pay shipping up front, it is, after all, their own mistake that caused the problem, and you still do not have the record you originally ordered.

the records are yours, do what you wish with them and have a clean conscience, and do not to business with that seller in the future.
greg O:

You attempted to square this up. They fumbled over and over. The extra record is now yours. Unless they seem to want it back. Then send them an invoice for it at list price. If they grumble, just inform them that you don't do replacements just reimbursement.
