In an unprecedentedly courageous venture, Memphis’ fantastic MEMPHIS MADE BREWERY has endeavored to produce two new beers for consumption during Gonerfest Eleven.
Brewmaster Drew Barton had this to say about his creations:
Nothing beats a hot Memphis summer night like a clean, crisp
golden ale crossing your lips. Cream ales are known for their light body and
easy drinking attitude due to a healthy dose of flaked corn. We decided to
make it a true Memphis cream ale and tossed in a bunch of grits in the mash too. This lightened the body even more and helps you forget the misery that has been this summer’s heat.
Available at: On draft at all the shows. Any leftover will be at the forth coming Memphis Made Tasting Room.
GUITAR ATTACK IPA –
We asked the guys at Goner what they wanted
out of an IPA and it was a resounding, WEST COAST, WEST COAST, WEST COAST. A certain ‘double blood pumper’ IPA was mentioned and we knew right then, it must be Centennial. And it’s a lot of Centennial, so much so, you’re going to see the number 100 in your dreams. Sweet hoppy dreams.
