Very cool, raw French DIY punk with guitars set on FUZZ! According to Ozkar Krapo, Terminal-Boredom savant:
REPULSE was a very obscure band initially from Cadiff (UK) having some
links in Brest (french west regions, Bretagne to be precise), who did
this 4 tracks EP in 1982 on Le Kiosque D'Orphee (a label who pressed
small quantity of records on demand for all kind of persons - usually
some shitty christian school choirs -), and vanished without a trace
(The guy - now girl - behind it is Alana Camus Holland, you can check
her site here: http://alanacamusholland.free.fr/biographie/bio.htm
it's crude DIY hesitating between psychedelic freaks and punk. Totally
odd, even in 1982... probably having the VELVET as a reference... no mix
at all... Bass in front, a lot of fuzz, recorded in a living room...
something of The MIRRORS or The STYRENES, but the worst of it... in
fact, it's closer to The ROB JO STAR BAND, but rawer.
We agree! If you like the Rob Jo Star Band, you will dig it!
