PVP - Miedo lp (Beat Generation/Munster Records)

180 gram vinyl reissue of the first album released by P.V.P., one of the first bands mixing punk, rock and the '80s new wave in Spain. Recorded by producer Raúl Marcos, Miedo was originally released in the summer of 1982 on the essential Barcelona label Belter. Sales were insignificant at the time and very soon the record was deleted from Belter's warehouse. P.V.P. (or Precio de Venta al Público/"Retail Price") was formed in Madrid in 1980 at the time of the La Movida Madrileña countercultural movement. Their debut combines influences from The Clash, The Ruts and assorted post-punk sensibilities, recorded with a very professional sound. Beat Generation is proud to announce a more than deserved reissue, a seminal Spanish record not only for the punks, but for all the people interested in discovering old anthems. This is the first time this has been reissued on vinyl and it's presented as a perfect replica of the original cover art and insert.- Beat Generation
