also we now make our own vegetable stock from all the scraps we don't use before we compost it. just put all that shit in a bag in the freezer until you have enough to fill a pot, then boil the shit out of it, strain it and fill ice cube trays. we use almost everything compostable, except you want to stay away from any citrus fruits, bananas, and avocado peels. I'm sure i'm forgetting something else to avoid, but we make this stuff out of almost everything - onion peels, egg shells, apple cores, potato peels, carrot skins, pepper cores, seeds, pumpkin guts, etc etc. Makes me feel like such a hippy.
