also a bit of dried mexi oregano...some have a bit of citrus zests...sugar etc...the chili's can vary as well..

if you're using ground meat... brown the meat with crushed garlic. drain if necessary. add meat back to the frying pan with a small can of tomato sauce, add cumin & seasoned salt or adobo to taste.

this recipe is especially good if you know how to fry your own hard taco shells. good for tostadas too.

totally, if I'm at a taqueria, naturally I will go with al pastor or asada on soft tortillas. but homestyle/hard shell... ground turkey usually.

i wouldn't recommend ground meat for soft tacos, only hard & to me home fried shells are more important than how the meat is seasoned.

really? Damn..don't think I've had a ground meat taco in years.. ..except maybe wasted at a bar with some "Taco Tuesday" leftovers sterno-ing away in the back.... I usually just make some Asada I guess.... ...love some fresh corn tortillas with a bit of oil grilled up a bit....hot damn!
