Push it is right up there with "I stroke it to the left, I stroke it to the right..."
Man I hate that song.

Original Baker Street is great.
Foo Fighters Baker Street version makes me want to kill Gerry Rafferty for ever writing it.

Route 66 (any version)
Satisfaction
Brown Sugar is very close...
Hey Jude
most late '90s/early '00s radio pop... I tried to avoid it but I worked in retail for a few years and the store radio station beat these songs into my soul

purple rain
been a long time since I rock & rolled
feels like the first time
who are you
honky tonk women
more than a feeling (indeed, more like nausea)
come sail away
renegade (truly)
heartbreaker/living loving maid (actually zep and the stones could each have an entire list of songs I don't want to hear anymore)
we will rock you (oh for god's sake make it stop)
I want to rock & roll all nite and party every day

I can understand why Helter Skelter by the Beatles made Charles Manson want to kill people because All You Need Is Love by the Beatles makes me want to kill people.

pretty much anything classic rock radio plays that I've been clubbed to death with for 30+ years. I could go on and on and on with this list.

One of my best friends and I have played the "pick which horrible thing is less horrible" for hours and hours over the last 15 years. In that time I have been able to think about this topic more than is probably considered normal.
So, here goes.

Cher - Believe
Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da
Bob Seger - Old time Rock n Roll AND Night Moves
Aerosmith - Dude (Looks Like A Lady)
anything by Styx
Everything by Sting
Almost everything by Dire Straits
Don Henley's - Boys of Summer (this might be the worst song ever written)
Eric Clapton- Cocaine
Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney
Do they Know it's Christmas - Band Aid
Everything by Phil Collins
Anything by the band 311
Corey Hart - Sunglasses At Night
R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People
Anything by 38 Special
Paul and Stevie Wonder - Ebony and Ivory
I can't say it enough -- REO
Anything by Chicago

Getting a good laugh from a lot of these. Have a good friend that said anytime he heard One on One from Hall and Oates, he pictured the two of them taking a crap while they were singing the song. Think of that anytime it comes on. I hit scan soon after.

man, i def dig roxette, PUSH IT, purple rain...used to think i never needed to hear "satisfaction" again but then i realized i was over thinking and it was making me a fucking RETARD because how do you go without that song, really?

most of the songs in this thread are not really songs that i hear a lot nowadays anyaways. "achy breaky heart," really? i honestly have heard that song MAYBE twice in the past 20 years. MAEBE. hey, here's one: the MACARENA! man, i just cannot escape this song/dance. EVERYWHERE right now!

I love blues and soul but I could live happily without ever hearing these three again:

Mustang Sally (unless Mack Rice is singing it)
Sweet Home Chicago
The Blues is Alright

Just another level of nightmare:
Dispatch - The General
OAR - my god......

I would honestly rather listen to any butt rock band (i.e. puddle of mudd, creed, 3 doors down) than the aforementioned bands. There's something about Dispatch OAR and lets say Dave Matthews too that is unholy.

Would probably prefer Brittany Spears to all the above.

Add to the list:

Pride and Joy

Anything that Stevie Ray Vaughan did or made popular.

Led Zeppelin Been A Long Time, that song was okay when I was 12, but it's so fucking played out...it blows hard, almost as hard as Jack White.
