Lately, I find myself going to bed much earlier than normal. I keep having these random and disturbing dreams about losing something: one time it was a bike that got stolen; one time my tooth came out; another time, my partner was gone. Then, I'll wake up at around 3 with an overwhelming sense of loss and hopelessness. Sometimes this is occasioned with aural hallucinations or hypnagogic jerks. I usually can't get back to sleep until just before my alarm goes off. It makes my morning not as good.
