Emergency gig Friday night. Not sure who else is playing, but pretty sure anyone else can jump on.

p.s., no time to put together powerpoint presentations, but maybe we'll do some motivational speaking. Or I'll just do my solo rendition of Journey's "Feelin' That Way".

Dude, that was totally in my vi Fanclub package that I received. Oh, no it wasn't. Sorry about that. Carry on.

So that means neither of y'all got shit to do. If there ain't any other bands, or the band that wants to play don't give a shit, it's free.

So here's the deal so far: it's a free show, vi will play at 11:00 if no one else can join in. Anybody else wants to play just for fun, holler, and we'll get it all worked out. Widows & Recluses? Burning Sands? Dranks? Hosoi Bros? TSOT? Sector Zero? Useless Eaters? DJs?

Widows and Retards could could make you want 20-30 minutes of your life back that night. Would love to play early....

You're in. At 10:00. Off the stage by 10:28.
The trombone rules, by the way. I can sort-of play the "sad trombone" song now.

cool.
I think you're a natural. The one note i heard you play sounded almost there. "Sad Trombone" sounds like first chair shit. Most people go right for the easy "Elephant Fart" setting .

update:

The other band posted on their facebook that it's five bucks.
Hope they get there by 9:45, 'cause I ain't collecting shit.

Thanks, dag. Elephant fart is harder than I thought.

No hate on the other band; I doubt they're on here and they didn't know I said free.
So what. Five Bucks. I ain't collecting, though.
Widows and Recluses better get paid, though, for steppin' up.

Here's the line-up:

Widows & Recluses at 10:00
vi at 10:30
Sin City Scoundrels at 11:00
Jack Stands Motivational Speaking and acoustic set after.

Jokes about Tommy Trouble all night.

Got some good ones:
Q: What did Tommy say when I tried to give him a purple nurple?
A: "You'd sweater knot!"

If you promise to play "Steven Seagal" this gig will almost be irresistable.

I wouldn't expect to hear back until later today, but if TSOT wants in, they can have the vi slot and we can play third or last or whatever. We don't care, but would just be glad to have them.

Why, if I want to see vi, must I also be subjected to a rockabilly band? This is becoming a trend Jack Stands. Is it part of some vi marketing scheme?

Murphy's booked the other band.
Also, TSOT is out but still a bunch of party MFers.
Come on out!

Hey man I'll totally stick around for them, but they'll have to go on last. Who is it?

Is it part of some vi marketing scheme?
Dude, we're not even a band. We are advertising moguls.

No Wisconsin Hardcore. Band was just passing through.
I think it'll work best as a 3 band bill, just thought it was early for a Friday night party.

Thanks for letting us play with you guys. The audience was great till half way through our set. Old rally point folk can be a hand full.

S.C.S. were tight. sorry i didn't see the ruckus that broke out during their set -damn wall.
vi were great. great songs. also, high comedy. Jackson and Robin in "I have asthma" was truly funny.
And to whoever shouted out "Speak English or Die" during our set, I'm sorry we started playing "United Forces" -I honestly got them confused at the time (plus a few notes of "March of.." til i realized it was in drop "D"). Still, we love mid set requests, keep 'em coming (Can't find the tab for that "Get off the stage" song- that must be like the new underground "Freebird" or something, right?). Lotta Fun. Thanks Jack.
