Anybody know of any hot spots and/or bands in Singapore? I'm planning a trip there. I've had a quick look on myspace and metal seems to be popular.

There was a pretty awesomely inept band of teen girls called Ladybug that put out a record on the Shock label. It's like an aggro version of Shonen Knife. There are also a couple of decent HC/Thrash bands.

i didn't listen to that cd, but i passed it on to cort. and i'm pretty sure taiwan is still in asia

I went there once, for 4 days, and saw no sign of rock and roll, except for bootleg Green Day & U2 tshirts in a street market- if you can call that a sign of rock and roll.

Michael, when are you going? My Dad, his wife and my little sister are moving there in Sept. While this is no help with the rock...they may know a restaurant or two, and tips for getting around...

I'm probably going to go some time in September. My folks moved there earlier in the year too, and it sounds like they've gotten things figured out.
