Attention overseas fans: Two hundred color vinyl copies of the Magic Kids‘ “Hey Boy,” already dubbed “song of the year” by Rough Trade, are due on September 20th — and they’re sure to go fast, so pre-order your copy here. One per person, please.
The boys also got this steller write-up from LA Vinyl Records Examiner Jason Gelt, who declared that, “an ethereal ’60s pop flair, underscored by bright-eyed and bushy-tailed lyrics and the amazing soaring choruses of the Magic Kids Orchestra, make it the best song of the year not yet on vinyl.”
Stateside friends, never fear: We’ve already set a September 8th date for the domestic release of “Hey Boy.” You can catch the Magic Kids live even sooner — they’re playing a house party in Oxford, Miss. on August 16th and at the Buccaneer Lounge in Memphis on August 17th. Both dates are with the Smith Westerns.
